Bill Wallace

Bill Wallace is CEO of Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc., and a longtime supporter of the River Region United Way. This year, Bill is serving as Campaign Chair, leading the drive to raise $4,650,000 for RRUW. Bill is also a longtime member of the Tocqueville Society of the River Region United Way.

In his role as CEO of Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc., Bill provides strategic direction to the company. Under his leadership, GMC has been ranked on local, regional and national levels as one of the top firms in the industry and received countless project and design awards. He has been with GMC for more than 30 years.

Bill’s commitment to community goes beyond the River Region United Way. His other leadership activities include the Governor’s Task Force for Efficiency in Government, appointed member; Business Council of Alabama, Regional Advisory Committee; Trustmark Bank Board of Directors; Montgomery Business Committee for the Arts, past chairman; Jackson Hospital Foundation Board of Directors; Leadership Alabama Board of Directors; and Teach for America Board of Directors.

Bill graduated with bachelor’s degrees in both Environmental Design and Architecture from Auburn University, in addition to post-graduate studies at Harvard University.
