Day of Action Volunteers

We are looking for more than 100 volunteers to help with the River Region United Way Day of Action. Please check out these volunteer opportunities to see if you’re interested in pitching in!

Day of Action Food Prep Volunteers

On June 14 and 16, volunteers will be needed from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Courthouse Café (located at the Montgomery County Courthouse at 100 South Lawrence Street) to package prepared foods for freezing. Additionally, volunteers will be needed 2:30-5:30 p.m. on June 15 at Wind Creek Hospitality's "Good to Go" food truck at MACOA.

Day of Action Volunteers

On June 21, the Day of Action, approximately 100 volunteers will be needed to work in teams of two delivering meals in the community. There will be five shifts:

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Volunteers will meet at MACOA’s Archibald Center, 115 E. Jefferson Street, for directions and delivery instructions.

Volunteers must be age 18 and older. All volunteers will receive a LIVE UNITED t-shirt to wear during their shift. We will also ask each volunteer to sign a release of liability and photography waiver at the beginning of their volunteer shift.
