River Region United Way is pleased to announce that Charisse Stokes and W. Rhea Ingram, Ph.D., will serve as Campaign Co-Chairs for the 2026 Annual Campaign.
As campaign leaders, Stokes and Ingram will help champion River Region United Way’s efforts to bring together businesses, organizations, and individuals in support of programs and services that strengthen communities across the River Region. Their leadership will play an important role in building awareness, encouraging engagement, and inspiring support for this year’s campaign.
The annual campaign is the foundation of River Region United Way’s work, providing critical resources that help address the region’s most pressing needs through partnerships with local nonprofit agencies and community initiatives. Campaign chairs serve as ambassadors for this effort, helping connect donors, volunteers, and community leaders to the shared mission of creating lasting change.
River Region United Way welcomes Stokes and Ingram to this important leadership role and looks forward to working alongside them as preparations continue for the 2026 campaign. The theme for this year's campaign is United is the Way We Thrive.
There will be a kickoff event on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at The Tipping Point, located at 5015 Hampstead High Street. Please join us in the celebration as we get to work for our community!
